Visit Pura Tirta Empul
Built in the 10th century, Trita Empul Temple is a Balinese water temple. The name “Tirta Empul” translates to holy water spring, perfectly reflecting the temple’s essence and cultural significance. The holy spring continuously provides crystal-clear water to the temple’s intricately designed purification pools and fountains. This water is believed to hold potent healing properties.
You have the option of joining a Balinese tradition called Melukat. A water purification ceremony in Bali, deeply rooted in ancestral knowledge to cleanse and purify the body, mind, and soul, fostering healing and vitality.
This is the pause your soul has been asking for. A place to rest your mind, soften your body, and reconnect with the wisdom that’s been waiting patiently inside you. Beneath Bali’s sun and stars, you’ll rediscover peace, presence, and possibility. Guided by practices that open your heart and return you to yourself.
Kereban Langit Temple
Experience one of Bali’s most sacred sites with us! Kereban Langit Temple has an open sky cave rich with history dedicated to fertility blessings, since the time of the twin kings, Sri Masula-Masuli.
According to local folklore, in the 14th century AD, Sri Jayakasunu had no offspring for quite a long time. Various efforts were made, until finally he got a clue to look for tirta salaka or holy water in a cave. An envoy was sent to look for the water and they arrived here. When entering the cave, they found a spring. The king was sure that the water in the cave was the tirta salaka he meant. He took the water and then gave it to the king. After drinking it, the king and his queen were soon blessed with conjoined twin children named Sri Masula-Masuli. The children then grew up to be wise and fair kings of the Ancient Balinese Kingdom.
Located amidst vibrant jungle and the gentle sounds of the Campuhan River, this tranquil sanctuary is a place to pray, reflect, and receive the temple’s sacred waters, bringing blessings and renewal to all those who enter with devotion.
